Biden: “Well son of a bitch, he got fired!” – Here’s the clip.

One of the reasons floated for censoring the recent NY Post story about Joe Biden’s potentially illegal protection of his son’s relationship with Ukraine, is that a quote by Biden in the story is inaccurate – identified as “harmful information” by Twitter. That quote was shared with the public in early October by OANN, verbatim, from a clip in which Biden says, “If the prosecutor’s not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.” The clip was recorded in 2018 and shows Biden bragging to an audience of the Council on Foreign Relations about when Biden, as vice president, strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor.

The complete quote and story was also covered by The Hill in April of 2019:

“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,’” Biden recalled telling Poroshenko. “Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time,” Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations event, insisting that President Obama was in on the threat.

The full article, written by John Solomon, delves deeply into the Burisma-Biden issue and because it was written during a time when Biden was not the front runner for the Democrats in the 2020 Presidential Election, The Hill actually published a useful investigation into the Biden family ties to Ukraine. It has not been proven whether or not there was illegal behavior involved but there is clearly enough information to warrant a substantial investigation by the DOJ.

Twitter also actively campaigned for Biden by countering the NY Post story on its platform. “Biden did not push out a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating his son, according to reporting by The Washington Post” was a story headline posted by Twitter on October 14th.
